The Govt has now been entrusted with the responsibility of bringing the bodies of deceased Paresh Nath and Goutam Ghosh

Now the Govt (Youth Service dept., West Bengal ) has been entrusted with the responsibility of bringing back the bodies of deceased Paresh Nath and Goutam Ghosh who have died on Everest last year.

The Principal Secretary of YSD with Debdas Nandi (Advisor of WBMASF) and Ujjal Ray will fly to Kathmandu today for monitoring the recovery process.

"Today we will go to Kathmandu and will plan how to bring back the bodies of Goutam Ghosh and Paresh Nath. Paresh's body has been found but we are still waiting for the news (photo evidence) of Goutam's body.

Our objective is to bring back their bodies to Kolkata As early as possible" - S A BABA (Principal Secretary, YSD)

Debasish Ghosh (Goutam's brother): "We welcome this move. This will certainly strengthen the recovery process".

Sabita Nath (Paresh's wife): "Came to know about it. I am waiting for him".

Earlier this month, Goutam's family had started the search and recovery process for Goutam Ghosh. Phurba Sherpa has been leading the operation with a rescue team of six sherpas.

Paresh's body has been found at South Col. However, the photo idintification of Goutam Ghosh is yet to be done. As per the Sherpa team who was opening the summit route of Everest, has seen the body of Goutam a week before but they didn't have any photographs to produce.
