'Swiss Machine' Ueli Steck no more

Dream Wanderlust | Apr 30 , 2017

'Swiss Machine' Ueli Steck no more. An accident took place on Nuptse slope today morning 8AM while he was ascending solo. Stops the legend in his prime. Many climbers including Sherpas around Camp-2 saw him falling from Nuptse face from an elevation of approximately 7000m. The reason of the fall is however still unknown.
He was climbing alone (reportadely) on the face of Nuptse for acclimatization,  preparing for his epic traverse of Everest-Lhotse this month. His recent recorded interview is here: https://youtu.be/vt-0VPksN9k on 24-04-2017 at Everest Base Camp
