Noel Hanna along with three Sherpas, Sirdar Naga Dorjee Sherpa, Pemba Tshering Sherpa and Samden Bhote have reached the top of an unclimbed peak, Burke Khang(6942m) on 5th October, 2017 at 12:05 pm. Burke Khang is situated in Gokyo Valley and is named after the oldest American to summit Everest and live, Bill Burke. He summited Everest on May 25, 2014 at the age of 72.

In 2014 Nepal government opened up 104 new mountains and surprisingly they named one mountain after Bill Burke.

Bill had attempted to climb the mountain two times before and found conditions too dangerous to proceed. On his third expedition, he hired a professional mountaineer, Noel Hanna to summit his namesake mountain. However, Bill did not summit the peak but went up till Camp-1.
