On his way down he met an American climber who was anchored to the fixed rope, sitting on snow and unable to go down because his oxygen supply had failed. Close to camp-4 he found an Indian Bengali climber about 20 meters to the right of the track who was unable even to stand, let alone walk. He was on his way back from a summit attempt. Vishal convinced him to descend down and 2 Sherpas from his team carried him to their tent at camp-4, where he passed away during the night.
