Baranti : A Sweet little place in nature's lap

It's a short trip to a lesser known place called Baranti, in Purulia district. This Tribal Village is close to Assansol (45km). The place very close to nature's lap , is part of Ramchandrapur Irrigation Project in Purulia. The water reservoir constructed by erecting a small dam between Muradi Hill and Baranti Hill. The place is surrounded with Sal, Mahua, Piyal, Palash trees and jungle. There are Wild Boars, Rabbits, Porcupines, Wolves, Foxes and Deer in the forest. Chances are there to meet them in evening or night walk near the lake. Various seasonal birds love to visit the reservoir frequently.

Kolkata - (through Durgapur Express way Dankuni) - Asansol (through Asansol Town old G.T. Road) - Nemat Pur (left side turn) - Desergarh Bridge - Sarbori More (Barakar - Purulia Road) - Subhas More (left turn) - Kotaldih Village-Ramchandra Pur Village - Muradi Village - BARANTI. (263Km)
