The Shrikanth ridge divides Kinnaur and Spiti in Himachal Pradesh. In old days there was a popular trade route through which the traders could travel from Rupa valley, Kinnaur to the Spiti area crossing the Shrikanth ridge. The Manirang Pass is located at an altitude of 5550 m, one of the shortest connecters in between Kinnaur and Spiti. The first ever Bengali trekker, Tapan Pandit and his team had explored this lost trail in the year 2005. Trek started from Kaza and passed through Sapena, Manirang Pass, Rankali and Pankit landed Rupa villege.
