We had gone to Chilika lagoon for bird watching during 25-26 January, 2013. The Chilika which is the largest brackish water lagooninIndiais a popular destination for the tourists who want to watch foreign migrated birds, fishes, turtles, the rare Irrawaddy dolphin etc. However we had visited only about 30% of the Chilika Lagoon. Some of the places were restricted to tourist entry through the motor boat during that period. So far as I am concerned about the places, Manglajodi is the only place where soundless boats are used for bird watching. We had gone to the Sea mouth, Bird Island, Hansraj Island, Kalijai Island and Nalvan during the two days of my visit.
