Youngest Briton and European woman scales Everest from both sides

British climber Mollie Hughes (26) with climbing partner Jon Gupta reached the summit of Everest on May 15 from the North side. she became the youngest Briton and European woman to  scale the peak from both the north and south sides.

In temperatures as low as minus 40C, Ms Hughes who is originally from Torbay, Devon, reached the summit at around 5.34am (Nepal Time) with climbing partner Jon Gupta of Mountain Expeditions.

With a £1 donation for every metre climbed, she hopes to raise more than £8,000 funds for Cancer Research UK. She is being supported throughout the expedition by Tiso, the outdoor adventure specialist where she works in Edinburgh.

Miss Hughes, who in 2012 scaled Mount Everest at the age of 21 from south side.
