Chinese female climber Xiaodan Gao summited Makalu without using supplemental oxygen

A Chinese female climber Xiaodan Gao (35) with three sherpas, Nima Gyalzen Sherpa, Jit Bahadur Sherpa and Ang Dawa Sherpa summited Makalu today morning without using supplemental oxygen.

They became the first team to reach the summit of the world's fifth highest peak in this session.

"I have just been informed that the first team with Chinese and Nepali Sherpa reached the summit of Makalu today in the morning," said Gyanendra Shrestha, Nepal Official from Everest Base Camp.
