Anshu Jamsenpa, the Indian Mountaineer from Arunachal Pradesh, scaled Mount Everest for the fourth time today, thus becoming the first Indian woman to achieve this feat. The mother of two teenage children reached the peak at 9am.

Earlier, Anshu scaled Mount Everest twice in 10 days between May 12 and 21, 2011 and again scaled the Everest on May 18, 2013. She already held the record of being the only woman in the world to climb the top of the world's tallest peak twice in a single season.'The good news is that she is absolutely well and fine and shall attempt double expedition. If she makes it again to the top this season, then she will also create a new record of being the first woman to conquer the Everest five times,” said her PR manager Nanda Kiriti Dewan.
