American climbers climb 'The Nose' of El Capitan in record breaking time

Dream Wanderlust | Jun 1 , 2018

With a record breaking time of 2:10:15 hours to climb up 'The Nose', American climbers Tommy Caldwell and Alex Honnold etch their names in History.

The duo climbed up 'The Nose' of El Capitan in Yosemite in record 2 hours 10 minutes and 15 seconds on 30th May, 2018. Through this incredible feat, they surpassed the previous record held by Brad Gobright and Jim Reynolds, by almost 10 minutes (2:19:44 hours) in October 2017.

It's the first time that Caldwell made a record on the nearly 3000ft granite walls of Yosemite Valley. While Honnold reclaims his lost record (which was broken by Gobright and Reynolds), that he had set in June 2012 when he climbed up the route with Hans Florine in 2:23:46 hours.
